Typically I write separate reports for each segment of a trip, but this time I found myself flying all Delta Connection flights and  I decided to give my readers an overview of what to expect on Delta Connection flights.   And if anyone has not flown Delta or Delta Connection lately due to a previous negative experience, I suggest you give them a try again.  Delta/Delta Connection has become amazingly consistent, and you would never know that the airline is in the middle of a merger with Northwest.

If flying coach, you will receive a beverage and snack service on most flights.  Of my three flights in coach, I received the same service on two of the three:  a full beverage service and a choice of complimentary Biscoffs (cookies), peanuts, or pretzels.  The only flight that did not offer service was my flight from CVG to TRI today.

When flying first class on a short Delta Connection flight, such as my flight between LGA and CVG, one receives a pre-departure beverage service, 0ne or two in-flight beverage services with glassware, and the Delta snack basket.  Today’s snack basket contained Biscoffs, peanuts, pretzels, pretzel crisps, Twix, apples, and bananas.  On my flight, there were two flight attendants.  One served first class, then she and the other flight attendant served coach together.  I must comment my first class flight attendant, Whitney.  She recognized me from my Friday night flight to LGA, as the same crew worked that flight, and on this flight, she both worked coach and offered first class two full beverage and snack services.  She did not take a break.  Kudos to Whitney!

With regard to the operation of my flights, three of my flights arrived very early (25, 25, and 20 minutes early) and my flight from CVG-LGA arrived 19 minutes late.  Given the weather in the NYC area on Friday night, I must count my blessings that I was not very late!
